Prabhjot gets a break....as he moves into the Japanese striking circle...swivels around and smacks the ball into goal...GOALLLLLLLPrabhjot's second and India leads 4-1....India has won the semi-final 4-1 Japan get their 3rd PC. Japanese use a variation as Yamabori scores with three minutes left.....GOALLLLLLL..Japan score to cut the lead to 1-3 India get their 4th PC after Prabhjot moves all the way into the Indian striking circle. But the variation doesn't work as the ball gets cleared...India lead 3-0 with eight minutes left... Prabhjot moves away and gives it to Tushar who enters the striking circle. Minz gets Tushar's pass. Waiting for the goalkeeper to committ, Minz flicks into the net for India's 3rd goal....GOALLLLLLLL..India lead 3-0 India throwing away scoring chances constantly. Shivender, Sunil, Tushar and Rajpal had good opportunities but wayward shooting is denying India avenues to increase the score...At the moment, India lead 2-0 Japan earn their 2nd PC....Yamabori's flick goes straight to Baljit's gloves...India saves the situation...But the Indians need to attack and make the situation safe..... Japan's Anai Yoshiro gets a yellow card and a six minute suspension as he accidently trips Shivender who was on a flank run...Japan down to ten men... India's first chance after the break. Prabhjot breaks away but faced with the goalkeeper, his reverse hit goes off the pads...It would have been an interesting move if Prabhjot had some support in the circle.... India get their 3rd PC. Dilip hit is saved by Japanese goalkeeper. At the break, India leads 2-0.....HALF-TIME... With just three minutes left in the half, Sardara Singh committs an infringement and gets a yellow card...India is down to ten men....India lead 2-0 India get their 2nd PC. Dilip lightly hits the ball to the right corner where Shivender dives but his deflection is just wide... A minute later, Prabhjot snatches the ball and moves into the Japanese striking circle, moves past the defenders and seeing the goalkeeper coming out, flicks the ball over him and into the goal....GOALLLLLLLL. India lead 2-0 Fantastic move from the right...Shivender Singh moves in and flicks it into goal.....GOALLLLLL..India lead 1-0 India get their first PC. Good variation as two players sell the dummy before Sardara takes a swipe that comes off the goalkeeper. But Sunil's tap towards an empty goal hits the post and goes out....close call for Japan. India extremely lucky in getting away. Japanese attack sees Baljit beaten but the ball hits the post and goes back into play which is cleared by the Indian defence. Play getting muddled up in the midfield. Both teams not willing to open up the midfield and take the ball on the flanks. Tushar-Shivender move that ended up at the goalkeeper's stick but a Japanese defender cleared the ball in time. Great opportunity for India to go ahead and increase pressure... Japan get the 1st PC of the match. Yamabori's powerful flick is saved by Baljit Singh. India on the attack from both the flanks. India have left out Adrian D'Souza and Vikram Kanth. Right from the start, it has been more or less tight marking on the players. Japan are marking tightly as they know the counter-attacking abilities of the Indians. |
