South Korea 16 Thailand 0
South Korea crushed Thailand 16-0 in their second match here at the BSNL Asia
Cup on Saturday. On Friday, Korea had beaten 12-2 in their opening match. In two
matches, Korea have scored 28 goals while conceding two.
Kim Byung Hoon and Seo Jong Ho scored four goals a piece, accounting for half
the team’s tally.
South Korea’s big games in Pool B are against defending champions India and
Asian Games silver medalist China.
The crushing margin would definitely depress Thailand but it would also show
their hockey administrators that to reach the same standards as the rest of the
Asian nations, they would need to overhaul their system.
