Malaysia 13 Hong Kong 1
Even though Hong Kong took the lead in the 12th minute, Malaysia’s superiority
was never in doubt as they rebounded back to thrash Hong Kong 13-1 in their
second match of the 2007 BSNL Asia Cup on Saturday.
In their first match on Friday, Malaysia had beaten Singapore 8-0.
Mohammed Swalik stunned Malaysia with a 12th minute field attempt. But within a
minute, Malaysia equalized with Kelwinder Singh flicking in from an acute angle.
Malaysia’s match was played at the second pitch and they were unhappy as it
coincided with the Pakistan-Japan match at the main stadium. The second pitch at
the YMCA is around seven kilometers away. Malaysian coach Sarjit Singh, said,
“We requested a different timing but the organizers didn’t agree. Now I won’t be
able to see an important match.”
