September 9, 2007 China 3 Pakistan 2 Pakistan’s pathetic run in the Asia Cup continued as they crashed to a 2-3 defeat against Asian Games silver medalist China here on Sunday. After China had taken the lead, Pakistan scored twice to wrest the initiative but China stormed back to beat them 3-2. De Yunze gave the lead to China in the 12th minute, converting a penalty stroke. Five minutes left in the first half, Pakistan equalized in the 30th minute when Muhammad Arshad slammed in a field goal. Pakistan went ahead in the 44th minute when Rehan Butt dribbled in and flicked past the Chinese goalkeeper. China struck back to equalize in the 54th minute when De Yunze scored his second goal of the match. The match-winner came in the 68th minute when Hu Liang struck home a penalty corner to end what has been a miserable tournament for Pakistan.
